In the past 30 years, India and China have very similar developments. India gained independence in 1947 and China revolutionized in 1949. Since then, they have all faced the same typical problems of population, poverty, illiteracy and morbid environments, and both have inherited a bureaucratic and political management structure that is largely controlled by urban elites. India and China have their own successes and failures in education, agriculture, industry and science and technology. India has gradually taken shape of industrial operations and academic, science and technology that are unparalleled in the Third World (and perhaps also in China)
