Based on the study of drilling geology, outcrop profile and petrology characteristics of the Lower Permian carbonate rocks in the southern part of Sichuan Basin, this paper discussed the types of fractures in carbonate fractures, the formation mechanism and their significance for the migration and accumulation of natural gas .
