越南油茶(Camellia cochinehinensis)集中分布于两广南部,是我省主栽油茶种之一。近几年来,我省虽开展了一些良种选育和研究工作,但与我国主栽种——普通油茶相比,这些方面的工作做得甚少。越南油茶产量高,在我省发展得天独厚,开展良种选育、遗传变异的研究是很必要的。越南油茶和其它树木一样,因为基因的连锁互换及互作等效应,使性状间存在一定程度的相关性,且是长期系统发育的产物,具有一定的遗传性。果实性状的变异对其经济价值的影响甚大,生产上常用果实的某些性状的变异作为选择和划分类型的依据。因此,有必要对果实的性状进行分析研究,探索各性状间的内在联系和规律,为良种选育提供有价值的参数。一、材料来源在龙眼洞几片盛果期的越南油茶林中,
