In order to promote the progress of the construction industry and to thank those who have contributed to the creation of a living space for humanity, on June 9, 1985, the International Institute of Architects made an annual report on the proposal of the chairman Bulgarian Joe Stohilov. July 1st was the resolution of the World Architecture Festival. From the 24th to the 26th of April of the following year, the 64th Council of the International Association of Architects held in Singapore further specified the subsequent World Architecture Festival each year.
