弗吉亚尼·吴尔夫(Virginia Woolf,1882—1941),英国女作家、文学评论家。其重要作品有小说《出航》(1915)、《达洛威夫人》(1925)、《到灯塔去》(1927)、《奥兰多传》(1928)、散文集《普通读者》(1925,1932)、《自己的房间》(1925)等。吴尔夫的文学生涯起始于文学评论,这使她的创作一直有鲜明的理论。她认为,人的精神和内心世界比栩栩如生的人物和动人的情节更接近于生活。这一观点在其著名的评论文章《现代小说》和散文及日记中有详尽而生动的阐述,并贯穿其作品。

His major works include “Voyage” (1915), “Lady Dalloway” (1925), “To the Lighthouse” (1927), “Biography of Orlando” (1928), and essay “Common Reader” (1925, 1932) , “My own room” (1925) and so on.
