In the 1980s, the Israeli National Security Agency uncovered a major espionage case. The protagonist is Marcus Avram Klintberg, a prominent Israeli biologist who served as deputy director of the National Institute of Nuclear and Biophysical Sciences before being arrested. For more than 20 years in biological research, Klintberg provided the Soviet KGB with a great deal of intelligence about the development of biological and chemical weapons in Israel, resulting in the loss of millions of dollars by Israel and being described by Israel’s National Security Agency as the most dangerous “Mole”.
