Trace fossils are ancient creatures in the bottom or bottom level drilling, walking, habitat, food, run away, hidden and other activities left behind traces. It is part of the fossil record and is also part of paleontology. Therefore, in stratigraphy and sedimentology have a certain significance. Stratigraphic significance of a biological trace fossil Trace fossils in stratigraphic use of many. It consists of: as a standard fossil for stratigraphic correlation; determining the top and bottom of the formation; determining the degree of compaction of the formation; and determining the true lower bound of the Cambrian (or Phanerozoic) prior to the appearance of the fossil entity.
