Petrobras, the Brazilian oil company, announced on December 13, 2010 that it will build two new refineries that will contract for infrastructure and pre-design contracts with Foster Wheeler’s Global Engineering and Construction Group. Petrobras plans to build two series of 60 x 10 ~ 4b / d (30.00 Mt / a) refineries in the Maranhao province called Premium I and a single series of 30 x 10 ~ 4b / d (15.00 Mt / a) Refinery, called Premium II project.
