Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of P-selectin (CD62P) and cell surface glycoprotein (CD44) in patients with primary glomerular disease. Methods Flow cytometry was used to detect CD62P and CD44 in peripheral blood of 90 patients with primary glomerulonephritis. Thirty normal controls were used as controls. Results The expressions of CD62P and CD44 in patients with primary glomerulonephritis were significantly higher than those in the normal group (P <0.01). The number of CD44 positive cells in the uremia group was significantly higher than that in the normal group. The expressions of CD62P and CD44 in IgA nephropathy group were significantly higher than those in other groups The disease group was lower (P <0.05), CD62P and CD44 expression was r = 0.41 (P <0.05). Conclusion CD62P and CD44 are abnormally expressed in the peripheral blood of patients with primary glomerular lesions and play an important role in the development of kidney disease and the progression of the disease.
