Canadian doctors found that eating almonds daily can significantly reduce the body’s bad cholesterol levels. Earlier studies found that nuts can reduce the risk of heart disease. A study has specifically pointed out the health benefits of almonds. In the study, 27 individuals were divided into three groups to participate in a one-month diet plan. The first group consumed 74 g almonds a day, accounting for one quarter of the total daily energy intake. The second group consumed about half the amount of almonds consumed daily, and the third group replaced almonds with wholemeal muffins.
