Li Yu, a famous opera artist in the Qing Dynasty in China, put forward the idea of “changing life to death and turning singers into literati” to the art of opera, which also applies to the art of singing. Singing and culture, although singers and writers are an ancient topic, they are an academic proposition that is constantly cutting back and chaos. In this impetuous age, singing art faces many cultural predicaments. Some fickle singers perform their own functions in the name of singing arts, deviating from the cultural direction of singing art, and deploring themselves forever. Therefore, regaining the topic of “Culture and Singing” has a positive meaning both in academic research on singing art and on the cultural care of singers.
