《语文课程标准（2011版）》（下面称新“课标”）在“课程性质”中开门见山地指出：“语文课程是一门学习语言文字运用的综合性、实践性课程。义务教育阶段的语文课程，应使学生初步学会运用祖国语言文字进行交流沟通，吸收古今中外优秀文化，提高思想文化修养，促进自身精神成长。工具性与人文性的统一，是语文课程的基本特点。”这段话值得我们每位语文教师细细品味。 首先，新“课标”界定了义务教育语文课程的范畴这是对
