猕猴桃营养丰富,维生素 C 含量较高,故被称为“果中之王”。用于贮藏的猕猴桃一般在9月上旬至10月下旬采收。采收成熟度的标准是:果实充分长大而未软化,糖度高,可溶性固形物达6.5%~7.5%,种子由黄转褐。中华猕猴桃的果实生长期为140~150天,其他品种则需170天。其贮藏的适宜温度为0~1℃,相对湿度为90%~95%。可选用以下方法贮藏。
