广场是为了满足人们的多种社会生活需要而建设的,以建筑、景观小品、山水、道路、地形、植物等组合;由多种软、硬质景观构成,通过步行交通的手段,具有一定的主题思想和规模的户外公共活动空间。海南大学青春记忆广场是对校内外都开放的公共性广场;是师生日常生活、学习与活动不可缺少的物质环境和非物质环境;也是构成校园景观美化校园的重要部分之一。
