The Soviet Union’s non-metallic useful minerals have been mined and processed more than the mining and processing volumes of other mining sectors. This article will directly address the issue of recovering large quantities of mineral raw materials from minerals for the production of various building materials. In Kazakhstan alone, more than 64 million cubic meters of non-metallic useful minerals are exploited annually for building materials. In the future, these quantities are expected to increase. Research and practice have shown that the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the production of small gravel, sand, fine gravel, finishes and other non-metallic construction materials depend to a large extent on the major technical and economic indicators of infrastructures. High-quality raw materials can reduce the consumption of cement, improve the quality of building components and structures made from these materials, and create high labor productivity for builders
