Some testing sentences of Chinese were designed according to the phonetic features and thelong-term average spectrum of standard spoken Chinese,and the long-term average spectrum oftesting sentences were measured and compared to running speech.According to the optimumapproximation of the long-term average spectrum of testing sentence and running speech,the bestone“Ta qu Wuxishi,wo dao Heilongjiang”was selected.Some practical applications aredescribed.
