Former Soviet Union’s Far East Issues magazine recently published an article by B. Shawan on the issue of Far East Economic Cooperation. The article points out that there are 12 possible forms of economic cooperation in the region: 1) to run joint ventures; 2) to establish a common economic zone; 3) carry out the principle of economic cooperation in compensation; 4) barter trade; 5) carry out the production division of labor and cooperation; 6) concession operation; 7) land lease;
