There are restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) between mitochondrial DNAs of different Fusarium oxysporum strains, which may be related to their pathogenicity differences. We digested mitochondrial DNA from a strain of F. oxysporum f. Sp. Eleocharidis1415-1 and found that its digestion pattern and size differed from those of other specialized mitochondrial DNAs.
