改革开放以来,江苏省江阴市华西村在苏南迅速崛起,从一个农业小村变成工业强村,农民变成工人,乡村变成了城镇,千百年来城乡之间不可逾越的鸿沟在这里消失。如今的华西村拥有集体资产30多亿元、人均资产超百万元,村民生活殷实富裕,农民搬进别墅、开上自家小汽车,享受农民退休金……拥有了连城里人甚至外国人都羡慕的新生活,是名副其实的“中国首富村”、“天下第一村”。在党中央提出建设社会主义新农村的时代背景下,记者再次来到华西村实地采访,华西村在新农村建设中先行一步的成功经验,带给人们许多启迪。
Since the reform and opening up, Huaxi Village, Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province has risen rapidly in southern Jiangsu from a small agricultural village to a strong industrial village. The peasants have become workers and the villages have become towns. Here, the insurmountable gap between urban and rural areas is here disappear. Today’s Huaxi Village owns more than 3 billion collective assets, over 1 million yuan of assets per capita, rich and affluent life of the villagers, peasants moving into the villas, opening their own cars and enjoying peasants’ pensions. Envy of the new life is a veritable “China’s richest village”, “best in the world”. Under the background of the CPC Central Committee’s proposal of building a new socialist countryside, reporters once again came to Huaxi Village to interview on the spot. Huaxi Village took the first successful step in the construction of new countryside and brought many enlightenment to people.
