古莲花池 位于保定市区中心,是全国十大名园之一,素有“城市蓬莱”之称。它重建于公元1227年,具有我国南北园林特色,是华北最古老的园林之一,以其清碧绝尘,楼台幽雅、佳木成荫、怪石嶙峋、碑碣林立,亭榭玲珑的旖旎风光吸引着大量游客。 直隶总督署 位于保定市区中心是我国目前唯一保存完整的省级衙署。自雍正八年(1730年)到1911年清帝退位先后有74人就任直隶总督,曾国藩、李鸿章、袁世凯等都曾坐镇于此。它的建筑布局和风格,代表了现存清代官式衙署遗址的最高成就,是我国北方典型的衙署建筑群。
