目的:探讨舌鳞癌病理标本中高迁移率族蛋白1(HMGB1)的表达对肿瘤疾病转归的影响。方法:收集资料完整的舌鳞癌患者首次手术病理标本,选择生存期2年以内的病例22例,5年以上的病例10例。采用免疫组织化学染色法观察各标本HMGB1、血管内皮因子(VEGF)的阳性表达及微血管密度,分析比较组间差异。结果:两组不同转归结果的舌癌组织中HMGB1、VEGF阳性表达及微血管密度存在显著差异(P<0.01)。HMGB1表达高的组织有更高的VEGF表达和微血管密度。结论:舌鳞状上皮癌组织中HMGB1的表达与疾病转归有关。HMG1的表达在一定程度上可用作反映舌鳞状上皮癌预后的的重要生物学指标。
Objective: To investigate the effect of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) expression on the outcome of tumor in tongue squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. Methods: Totally 22 patients with tongue squamous cell carcinoma were enrolled in this study. Twenty-two patients with survival within 2 years and 10 patients with more than 5 years were selected. Immunohistochemical staining was used to observe the positive expression of HMGB1 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and the microvessel density. The difference between the two groups was analyzed. Results: There were significant differences in HMGB1, VEGF expression and microvessel density between the two groups (P <0.01). Tissues with high HMGB1 expression have higher VEGF expression and microvessel density. Conclusion: The expression of HMGB1 in tongue squamous cell carcinoma is related to the prognosis of the disease. HMG1 expression can be used to some extent as an important biological indicator to reflect the prognosis of tongue squamous cell carcinoma.
