江苏地处长江下游,黄海之滨,面积十万多平方公里,人口6千多万。人口稠密,每平方公里达605人。水陆交通方便,人口流动性大。全省行政区划,1983年实行市管县体制后,共有11个省辖市,64个县(市)。解放三十多年来,我省的防痨工作虽取得了一定的成绩,但从1975年和1979年两次全省结核病流行抽样调查结果表明,结核病的疫情仍比较严重,防痨工作还存在不少问题,与先进地区相比差距很大。1975
