我初次认识老师俞叔迟先生是在1964年秋季开学之后。那年我从北京大学中文系毕业,来到北京师范大学中文系,跟随陆颖明、萧仲圭两位老师学习文字训诂之学。俞先生知道我是从北大来的,在系里碰到的时候,常常主动接近我,问我北大的情况,告诉我一些北大的旧事。我因而知道作为北京师大中文系古汉语教研室的三老之一的俞先生,原来也是北大出身,并且与我的一位业师阴
My first acquaintance with my teacher, Yu Shu-Chi, came after the fall of 1964.
