In the Red Army generals, Zhang Qinqiu is the only woman. He was admitted to the sociology department of Shanghai University in early 1924 and joined the Chinese Communist Party in November of the same year. In November 1925, under the arrangement of party organizations, he came to study in Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow and returned to China in the spring of 1930. He participated in underground activities, armed struggle, women’s movement and economic construction. He served as director of the Political Department of Peng Yang School, Secretary, Red Fourth Army 73 Division Political Department Director, Red Fourth Army General Political Department Director, Sichuan Provincial CPC Committee
