1943年,二战的形势有了根本性的转变,德军改攻为守,德军坦克在各条战线上都要面对愈来愈多的盟军坦克。为了应付这种局面,德军急需一种防护好、火力强的驱逐坦克,“猎虎”就是在这种情况下产生的。“猎虎”使用稍为延长的“虎王”坦克底盘为基础,体长10.65m,战斗重量超过75吨以上,使用麦巴赫 HL230P30型12缸发动机。车体上部装甲厚200～100mm。炮盾厚达250mm。笔者此次制作的1/35“猎虎”驱逐坦克,系香港成龙模型公司的产品。制作上基本无大碍,以说明书指示加工部分改造就能顺利完成。只是因车体(D-36)有部分变形,所以 D-38在和车体结合时右下部会留下1mm 左右的缝隙,需多次用补土填平打磨,零件 D-34、D-35的固定处切掉
In 1943, the situation in World War II had been fundamentally transformed. As the German army changed its course of attack, the German tanks faced more and more allied tanks on all fronts. In order to cope with this situation, the Germans urgently needed a kind of well-protected and fire-expelled tank, and “hunting tigers” was exactly what happened. Hunting Tiger uses a slightly longer “Tiger” tank chassis as a base, body length 10.65m, combat weight more than 75 tons, using the Mabach HL230P30 12-cylinder engine.
