老舍是我国现代著名的小说家和戏剧家,他的作品在国内外享有很高的声誉。就散文而言,老舍并没有倾注自己的主要精力。粗粗看去,他的散文中有不少篇章似乎是即兴命笔,随意写成,但仔细读来,却可以明显地感到,他的散文别有风味,自成一体,有着深厚的 文字功力。在我国的现代散文名家中,杨朔的作品以构思精巧、充满诗情画意见长;刘白羽的作品以雄浑凝重、闪耀着哲理的光芒取胜,而秦牧的作品则以思路宽广,善于把思想性、知识性、趣味性熔为一炉为其特色。老舍的散文,大抵篇幅不长,明白如话,清新质朴,透溢着作者深厚纯真的感情。下面,仅以选入小学语文课本第八册的《猫》
Laoshe is a famous modern novelist and dramatist in China. His works enjoy a high reputation both at home and abroad. As far as prose is concerned, Lao She did not devote his main energy. Looking roughly, many of his essays seem to be impromptu pens, written freely, but when read carefully, they can obviously feel that his prose is unique and has a strong writing skill. In our country’s modern prose masters, Yang Hao’s works are elaborately designed and full of poetic and artistic opinions; Liu Baiyu’s works are won with dignified and shining philosophical light, while Qin Mu’s works are broad in thought and good at ideological and knowledge. Sex and interest melt into a furnace for its characteristics. Lao She’s prose is not long enough. She understands words, is fresh and simple, and overflows with the author’s deep and pure feelings.
