英语的词汇学习一直是困扰中国学生的难题之一。本文通过对部分英语专业学生和非英语专业学生的词汇学习情况的调查和分析发现:1.不管是英语专业还是非英语专业的中国学生,都在他们学习和记忆英语新词的过程中采用了一些策略和方法,但非英语专业学生的方法普遍效果不佳。2.两组学生在词汇学习策略上有明显的差别,而造成这些差别的主要原因是各自对词汇学习的理念以及课程安排的不同。以上这些发现都显示了在英语词汇学习中有效的学习策略的重要性。笔者希望本文能对大学公共英语的词汇教学有所启示,并对非英语专业学生的词汇学习有所帮助。
Vocabulary learning in English has always been one of the problems that plagues Chinese students. Through the investigation and analysis of the vocabulary learning of some English majors and non-English majors, we find that: 1.Chinese students, both English majors and non-English majors, adopted the new English words they learned and remember Some strategies and approaches, but non-English majors are generally ineffective. 2. The two groups of students in vocabulary learning strategies have obvious differences, and the main reason for these differences are their own ideas on vocabulary learning and curriculum differences. All these findings show the importance of effective learning strategies in English vocabulary learning. I hope this article can enlighten the vocabulary teaching of college public English and help the vocabulary learning of non-English majors.
