在航空电子设备中应用的液晶显示器,要求在宽视角范围内具有高亮度,低反射,高对比度,良好的色饱和度与灰度识别。本文提出了几种独特的解决办法以达到这些严格的要求。为了减少在强环境光下显示器的反射,利用等离子体增强CVD技术,沉积了光学成像设备公司(OIS)专有的多层无机黑矩阵(blackmatrix,BM),测得最终显示器的镜面反射率低于0.6%。利用OIS的大开口率TFT设计专利,通过提高象素开孔率(Opening)到大于65%,以获得高显示亮度与良好的色饱和度。视角的改善是通过利用OIS专利的延迟薄膜叠合在显示器背面实现的。实验证实,在水平+/-60°与垂直-15°/+40°视角范围内具有优良的灰度梯度线性(grayshadelinearity)与对比度。在这些新技术的基础上终于研制成功6.25in×6.25in,具有512×512分辨率的全彩色LCD。
Liquid crystal displays used in avionics require high brightness, low reflection, high contrast, good color saturation and grayscale recognition over a wide viewing angle. This article presents several unique solutions to meet these stringent requirements. In order to reduce the reflection of the display under strong ambient light, a proprietary multilayer inorganic black matrix (BM) from Optical Imaging Equipment Corporation (OIS) was deposited using plasma-enhanced CVD technique to measure the low specular reflectance of the final display At 0.6%. Utilizing OIS’s large-aperture TFT design patent, it increases pixel opening to over 65% for high display brightness and good color saturation. The improvement in viewing angle is achieved by using OIS’s patented lamination film stack on the back of the display. Experiments have shown that it has excellent grayshadelinearity and contrast in the range of horizontal +/- 60 ° and vertical-15 ° / + 40 ° viewing angles. On the basis of these new technologies, we have finally developed a full-color LCD with a resolution of 6.25in × 6.25in and a resolution of 512 × 512.
