本文搜集整理了北京、深圳两座城市公共图书馆在经费、资源、人力、社会效益四个方面的数据;从财政拨款与GDP投入、用户人均财政投入、文献购置费、人均馆藏量、设备资源、馆舍资源、从业人员及人均服务人数、员工职称比例对比、用户数量、书刊借阅册次、开架率与馆藏利用率等具体方面做了全面的对比与分析;分析了影响两地公共图书馆事业发展的多种因素,总结了发展中的共性与特性,以及带给其他城市的启示。
