郁达夫(1896-1945)。原名郁文,字达夫,浙江富阳人。幼年贫困的生活促使他发愤读书,成绩斐然。1913年9月随长兄赴日本留学。1922年3月,自东京帝国大学毕业后归国,主编《创造季刊》。1923年至1926年间先后在北京大学、武昌师大、广东大学任教。1926年底返沪后主持创造社出版部工作,主编《创造月刊》《洪水》半月刊。1928年加入太阳社,并在鲁迅支持下主编《大众文艺》。1938年12月至新加坡,主编《星洲日报》等报刊副刊,写了大量政论、短评和诗词。1942年,日军进逼新加坡,又转至苏门答腊。1945年被日军宪兵杀害。
Yu Dafu (1896-1945). Formerly known as Yu Wen, the word Duff, Fuyang, Zhejiang. Poverty in his childhood led him to study hard with great success. 1913 September with his brother went to Japan to study. In 1922 March, after graduating from the Imperial University of Tokyo returned, editor of “create quarterly.” From 1923 to 1926 successively in Peking University, Wuchang Normal University, Guangdong University. After returning to Shanghai at the end of 1926, he presided over the work of the Publishing Department of Chuangzhuan and edited the monthly magazine, “Creating the Monthly” “Flood”. In 1928 to join the Sun Society, and with the support of Lu Xun editor of “Popular Literature.” December 1938 to Singapore, editor of “Sin Chew Daily” and other newspapers supplement, wrote a large number of political views, short commentary and poetry. In 1942, the Japanese army moved to Singapore and then to Sumatra. In 1945 killed by Japanese military police.
