在三年以前,中国人民革命战争,达到了一个转折点:人民解放军打退了蒋介石反动军队的进攻,并使自己转入了进攻。当时毛泽东主席曾经说:蒋介石反动集团及其美国主子『将日本投降以后一个长时间内,中国共产党代表中国人民的愿望,力争和平反对内战的一切努力,看作是胆怯与力量薄弱的表现。他们过高估计了自己力量,过低估计了革命力量,冒险地发动战争,因而落在他们自己布置的陷阱里。我们敌人的战略打算是澈底地输了。』
