Here we describe Huashancyprinus robustispinus,gen.et sp.nov,a fossil cyprinin fish from the Oligocene of Ningming Ba-sin,Guangxi,South China.It differs from all other cyprinin fishes in the following apomorphic characters:extremely robust last unbranched
