本文通过对西南联大英语课程设置的探讨,总结出西南联大英语课程设置的特点:西南联大提倡以通识教育为教学特色,区别于目前国内大学精细划分专业的教育模式。在大学教育的最初阶段,设置了包括国文、逻辑学、社会科学、中国通史等在内的10门共同必修课,通过必修课的学习后,才会进入专业领域的课程知识学习,先进入广博的视角再自主选择细分领域进行学习钻研。同时学生可以根据自身的兴趣点选择学习方向,也是西南联大的教学特色之一。本文的探讨意义在于总结出西南联大英语教育设置的特色和精华,为当代的英语课程设置有所借鉴。
This article summarizes the characteristics of SWAU English curriculum by discussing the setting of English curriculum in SWUF. The SWU advocates that general education should be the teaching characteristic, which is different from the education model of the current fine-divided university in China. In the initial stage of university education, 10 compulsory courses including Chinese, logic, social sciences and general history of China have been set up. Only through the study of compulsory courses can they enter the course of knowledge acquisition in the field of specialization, Perspective and then choose the sub-field of independent study and study. At the same time, students can choose their learning direction according to their own interests and also one of the teaching characteristics of the Southwest Associated University. The significance of this paper is to summarize the characteristics and essence of English education in SWAUF, and to draw lessons from contemporary English curriculum.
