“蓄枝截干”是树桩盆景的主要技法之一。它通过人为的剪截,着力表现出桩景的苍劲自然、飘逸豪放的自然特色。刚采回的桩坯,在上盆栽种前,要将其全面看透。找出桩坯中内在的主要特色及最能体现出这些特色的枝干,“因势利导”,确定桩坯的栽种和养植样式,进行种植前的首次截干。
