Martin和White对Halliday提出的系统功能语法进一步发展,提出评价理论,从而突破语言内部结构的研究范围,更加注重从社会角度描写与解释语言现象,把意义从形式的束缚中解放出来。他们注重研究语篇层面上的人际意义。评价理论包括三个子系统:态度系统、介入系统和级差系统。本文以Martin的评价理论为基本框架,选取2014-2016年外交部长王毅就中国的外交政策和外交关系相关问题回答中外记者提问为研究语篇,对中国外交话语进行态度系统的统计分析。
Martin and White further developed the systematic functional grammar proposed by Halliday and proposed evaluation theory to break through the research scope of the internal structure of language and pay more attention to describe and explain the linguistic phenomena from the social point of view and liberate the meaning from the shackles of form. They focus on the interpersonal meaning at the discourse level. Evaluation theory includes three subsystems: attitude system, intervention system and level system. Based on Martin’s evaluation theory, this paper selects Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi from 2014 to 2016 to answer the questions raised by Chinese and foreign reporters on China’s foreign policy and diplomatic relations as a research discourse, and conducts a systematic statistical analysis of China’s diplomatic discourse.
