一、区域地质背景库姆塔格菱铁矿床位于北天山华力西地槽褶皱带,属天山—阴山纬向构造带的西段.区域性阿奇克库都克大断裂把天山划分为中天山隆起带和北天山华力西褶皱带两个构造单元.中天山隆起带:由蓟县系(卡瓦布拉克群)和长城系(星星峡群)组成.蓟县系主要为硅质条带大理岩、白云石大理岩并夹有石英岩,沿走向可相变为各种片岩及少量变砂岩、砾岩.局部地段花岗岩化烈强,出露花岗质片麻岩.其上零星分布有古生代盖层.大理岩中
