鉴于杂交稻种子的谷壳薄于常规稻种子,而且内外颖闭合不严密,传统的浸种催芽法已适应不了杂交稻种子发芽的生理需要,尤其是不育系种子更困难,发芽率总是徘徊在80%左右。经过多年来的反复研究,认定间歇浸种催芽法是切实可行的先进技术。我县最近3年来的杂交稻制种8900余亩,不育系种子2万多公斤,杂交稻一代种子21万余公斤推广间歇浸种催芽法,种子发芽率均在95%左右,提高10%以上,而且整齐粗壮。
