中西方中世纪社会的法制状况非但有许多不同点 ,而且存在一些实质性的差别 ,它们是西方社会为什么能发展出资本主义 ,而中国古代无法自发走向近代化的重要原因。
There are not only many differences but also some substantive differences between the legal systems in the medieval society in the West and in the Middle Ages. These are the reasons why Western societies can develop capitalism while the ancient Chinese can not spontaneously move towards modernization.
