Analysis of the structure of existing non-oxidizing and less oxidizing furnaces shows that using a gas flow to separate the heating zone from the complete combustion zone is the most promising one. The advantages of this furnace are: easy to manufacture, easy to manage and reliable. In the following, the principle of the oxidation-free heating is studied on the basis of the regularity of boundary layer formation by a confined gas flow.
