2011年9月,崇左市“大榕树课堂”作为学习型党组织向广度和深度拓展的创新实践,被中宣部确定为全国五个学习型党组织建设宣传报道重点之一;2014年3月,崇左市“大榕树课堂”实体化建设被自治区党委宣传部确定为全区重大文化精品项目予以立项扶持。正是基于“大榕树课堂”品牌的创建和拓展等基层理论建设创新,2014年10月,崇左市委讲师团被中宣部授予“全国基层理论宣讲先进集体”称号,成为广西当年唯一获此殊荣的单位。
