油橄榄种子萌发困难,发芽率低,这是世界各栽培国家在实践中得出的共同结论。1960年引入我国以后,对如何提高其种子发芽率做了不少工作,收到一定效果。例如,本所曾采用青熟果种子进行沙藏催芽,发芽率可达71%(但青熟果含油率极低,没有榨油价值,取了种子,浪费了果实,一般很少采用);四川省林科所采用调节水气矛盾和赤霉素浸种处理,也获得良好效果。为进一步探索油橄榄种子萌发过程中的变化规律,提供沙藏催芽的科学依据,我们试验用风干种子不经任何处理直接沙
