我省这次组织的水利、水土保持参观团,成员共39人,多数是地、县的党政负责同志。从4月18日开始,到6月6日结束,历时五十天,共参观了陕、晋、冀、豫、鄂、北京市等六个省、市所辖的泾阳、沁县、高平、阳高、徐水、济源、禹县、麻城、昌平等9个县、区的21个乡、社和灌溉试验站、水土保持试验站各1个,并参观了全国农具展览会。参观的内容:有农业,也有工业;有水利,也有水土保持;有财经贸易,也有学校、卫生;有林业,也有畜牧业;有大小面积的试验田,也有农业耕作和提水运输各种
