保持共产党员先进性教育活动的重要目标,是通过每一位共产党员充分、正确地展现自己的先进性,发挥先锋模范作用,从而达到提高党的执政能力、巩固党的执政基础、完成党的执政使命,实现全面建设小康社会和构建社会主义和谐社会的目的。要全面实现中央对保持共产党员先进性教育活动的要求,正确、充分地展现好共产党员的先进性, 必须准确地把握展现共产党员先进性的三个关键问题。第一,始终把握“为谁展现”的问题。这是关系到展现共产党员先进性的目的和方向问题,是一个根本的原则性问题。
