社会是实现博物馆价值的主体,博物馆社会价值的实现决定于价值主体对博物馆价值的认识和需要程度。面对激烈竞争的21世纪和学习型社会的发展趋势,终身教育已成为社会发展的基本需要,作为公共文化设施、拥有大量教育资源的社会教育机构的博物馆超越了以往在“终身学习”“闲暇时间”等理念下的博物馆教育与服务,从而提出“全方位教育”理念,以配合全球人才新战略的需求。如何践行新博物馆学关于教育的新理念,组织适当的教育活动,拓展社会服务职能,充分发挥博物馆教育在学校教育、终身教育、回归教育和文化消费中的独特优势和作用,成为我们首先应该考虑的问题。新博物馆学越来越重视社会大众的参与,全方位进行博物馆社会教育,在博物馆的陈列中注重观众的参与,以人为本,使展览与社会公众达到心理呼应,真正体现博物馆的社会价值。重视利用博物馆会员和博物馆之友参与博物馆的业务建设,动员社区,利用媒体等社会力量支持博物馆业务建设。
