按照市委、市政府关于“建经济强市,创西部最佳”的目标,为提高大气环境质量,规范交通营运秩序,推进优质服务,按照城市客运公交优先的发展原则,市政府决定开通城市南北绿色公交线路。绿色意味着环保,也意味着畅通。现就有关事项通告如下:一、2003年1月28日开通公交600路,线路起点为北郊城运村,终点为长安区韦曲开发区(西部大学城),全长28公里,途经张家堡、北关正街、北大街、钟楼、南大街、省图书馆、广电中心、电视塔等站点。
