白色结晶,易溶于水,溶于冰醋酸和95%乙醇,略溶于无水乙醇,微溶于苯,不溶于丙酮。本品为一β_1肾上腺素受体阻断剂,曾在21个国家内临床试用于24万病例,结果证明疗效确切,是目前美国批准生产的四个β受体阻滞剂中的一个。国内广州市医药工业研究所于1980年试制成功后,经271例高血压及心绞痛患者的临床应用证明,本品疗效较满意,副作用轻微,于1982年9月通过了鉴定。药理作用:动物试验表明,本品具有降压作用和减缓心率作用。口服本品20,30mg/kg时,能降低结扎大鼠单侧肾引起的高血压症,其幅值分别为20.5%,16.4%。狗静脉注射本品0.3mg/时,能减缓异丙肾上腺素引起的心率加速作用的80%。实验还表明,本品对外周血管阻力的影响弱于心得安。
