Т.И.фролова and А.В. Γущин conducted petrological studies and calculations and synthesized a large amount of literature to draw conclusions on the conditions for the formation of deep basaltic magmas in the Earth. When some type of basalt is formed, the presence or absence of water and other volatile components in the magma plays a fundamental role. This factor, together with the depth of magma melting, the strength at which magma interacts with the surrounding rock along the path of its formation and along it, determines the various volcanic rocks that reach deep into the Earth’s surface.
