广东专门研究语文高考命题的十多位同志,今年抓住“高考作文命题特点与学法指导”这个课题,进行了深入的探讨。大家一致认为,高考作文今年恢复考一大一小两篇,比去年只考一篇好,以材料作文来考查学生的作文水平,比去年的命题作文好。自恢复高考以来,作文命题方式,大致上采用了三种方式:其一,命题式作文(如去年的命题作文《尝试》);其二,加工式作文(早几年的扩写、改写、缩写等);其三,材料式作文(如今年的作文题)。这三种形式,各有优点,相比而言,还是材料作文的好处多些。它能够将审阅作文材料的能力融进作文立意的环节中,首先考查了学生的阅读理解水平,提炼中心的能力。其次,基本避免了考试的不公平性,避免了猜题。较能真实地考查出学生的综合性的写作水平。到目前为止,还找不到一种比材料作文更具优越性
