“半岛”电视台是新闻电视台,全天24小时滚动播出新闻,并在固定时段播放大型新闻节目,播出方式类似于CNN和BBC。播出的新闻不仅面向阿拉伯世界,而且通过卫星覆盖全球大多数地区。半岛作为一个中东媒体,在民族宗教文化方面是阿拉伯世界的,但是报道理念却是西方的,作为新崛起的媒体,需要更国际时尚的冲击和影响。所以首先要从频道形象包装上进行重新调整。半岛之前的频道包装,只是从节目的式样,表面上的东西,可以简单地感觉到这是一个阿拉伯语
