吉林市丰满区旺起镇中心校座落在毗邻美丽松花湖的旺起镇,随着国家对农村教育义务教育的关怀,特别是2011年的7.28洪灾之后,党和政府以及社会各界给予了旺起中心校广泛的厚爱,在校长庞艳梅同志的带领下,克难求进,锐意进取,使学校获得了新的生机与活力,如今的旺起镇中心校,像一颗明珠,镶嵌在松花湖畔。作为一所具有百年校龄的农村小学,校园校舍尽管经历了多次的维修改建,但是仍然不能满足日益发展的教育教学需要,特别是经历了百年不遇的洪水,原本残破的校园校舍危机重重,教学设施遭到严重的破坏,学校已经难以进行正常的教学活动。
